… paddling to Language-Friendship!

I am cycling around to villages…with a focused cause… enabling people with language tools, giving them voice, confidence and dignity… spreading the hope!

Why am I doing this? Because I had a terrible language problem once… due to which I had decided to quit my education. But I found a way to overcome it… and since then, my mission has been to help those in language difficulties. There are millions who are aware of opportunities and have talent but do not have right words to understand and express themselves. Very often they drop out of schools, and even if they manage to learn somehow, they struggle to progress in their career, profession or in business.

Since 1998, I developed tools in 23 languages for teaching and learning experiences on different platforms and devices like computer, mobile, tablets, web and on SMS and have reached a user base of over 100 million across 150 countries.

But, we are leaving in a world where ‘Internet Divide’ is huge. Although my technology has been widely recognized and won awards but I realize that, it is only in hands of few. I want to give it to those who can benefit most from it. So, I choose the cycling way! I am finding my way to rural villages, remote areas and places where most technology has not yet reached. I am providing people in these areas with dictionary opportunities, language awareness and maybe most importantly – a window to self-confidence and hope.

I am doing this work voluntarily without any governmental support or any type of funding from any agency. Unlike most academic research projects, this work has not been assigned to me by anyone. It is my full time dedication towards my passion and what I feel is my social duty. Enthusiastic volunteers are joining spontaneously to my mission ‘Language-Friendship’  on my way. So together, we have design a unique and incredible program – “The Cycling round the Nation” … paddling to Language Friendship!
